Westerman in Custody After River Chase

On 12-13-21 around 1230pm, Hood County Sheriff’s Office Investigators along with Somervell authorities, arrested Terry Lynn Westerman (54 yoa) near the Hood/Somervell County line.

Investigators found Westerman in a canoe paddling down the river wearing a short curly wig, nice touch but didn’t work.

Westerman ignored Investigator’s commands to come to shore and paddled away towards the Somervell County Line.
Westerman didn’t understand that cell phones are faster than a canoe and Somervell County Sheriff’s Office Deputies intercepted Westerman near Camp Arrowhead, which is down river.
Westerman was also in possession of over 6 grams of meth and has a Man/Del of a Controlled Substance (felony 1) out of Hood County.
Westerman is currently in custody at the Somervell County Sheriff’s Office Jail.
