Monday Morning Fatality Accident on Tin Top Hwy

Monday, November 28th at approximately 5:50am Troy Orrinn Zumach,29, was driving a 95 Dodge Ram that had broken down on the side of FM 2580. The vehicle broke down half in the north bound lane and half on the improved shoulder. The vehicle had no power and no lights to be able to indicate a breakdown.
Amanda Sue Petty, 39, was traveling North on FM 2580 when she suddenly came upon the disabled vehicle and Zumach, who had exited the vehicle by this time. Her 06 Mercedes was unable to stop and resulted in her vehicle striking the disabled Dodge in the left rear. Her vehicle then struck Zumach. The Mercedes came to a rest in the middle of the roadway facing northeast and Zumach was thrown into the west barrow ditch of FM 2580.
Troy Zumach passed away on the scene from his injuries and the condition of Amanda Petty has not been released.
