(Video Below) Granbury Officer Arrests Man After He resists

On Wednesday, August 9th around 2:30pm, Granbury Police Officers were called to a suspicious male wandering the parking lot of a local car dealership.

A Granbury Police Officer discovered 22 year old Mathew Ray Xavier Garcia wandering the dealership. The officer ran Garcia’s name and discovered he outstanding warrants. Witnesses say at that point, that is when Garcia became uncooperative and gave the officer resistance.

After a small struggle, and with the assistance of Hood County Sheriff’s Officers, Garcia was placed under arrest without further incident.

He has been charged with Resisting Arrest, which is a class A misdemeanor. Garcia’s existing warrants were two Class C misdemeanor Theft charges.

Garcia is in jail at press time.
