Granbury– At approximately 4:45 pm on Monday July 22, 2019, the Texas Highway Patrol was notified of a two-vehicle crash on Cleburne Highway near Massey road, south of Acton. Upon arrival the Troopers found that a 2015 Ford F-250 truck driven by Jose F. Espinosa, 26 of Granbury, was traveling west on Cleburne highway following another vehicle. Espinosa attempted to pass in a no passing zone and struck a 2017 Toyota passenger van driven by Crystal Ward, 48 of Desoto. that was traveling east on Cleburne highway. Crystal Ward was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Ft. Worth by air ambulance for treatment of her injuries. Her 14 year old son was also in the vehicle but was not injured. The driver of the Ford was not injured and received a citation for passing in a no passing zone.
