Traffic stop nets over 100 grams of meth

On 11-9-21 around 1145 pm, Hood County Sheriff’s Office Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the 2500 block of Mambrino Hwy. During the stop Kody Lee Lewis (34 yoa), threw a bag of meth from his vehicle and was found to be in possession of over 106 grams of meth, over 9 ounces of marijuana, several MDMA pills, and a 9mm pistol. Lewis also resisted arrest while he was being handcuffed, but no one was injured during the scuffle. Lewis was charged with 2 counts of Man/Del of a Controlled Substance (felony 1-bond $50,000), Tampering with Evidence (felony 3-bond $10,000), Felon in Possession of a Firearm (felony 3-bond $10,000), Possession of Marijuana (state jail felony-bond $5,000), and Resisting Arrest (class A misd-bond $2,500). Lewis is currently in jail at press time.
