Traffic stop nets meth and heroin

On 6-5-21 around 4pm, the Hood County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit conducting a drug investigation arrested Jerad Zane Westerman (26 yoa) for Possession of a Controlled Substance (felony 2-bond $15,000), Possession of a Controlled Substance (felony 3-bond $10,000) and Tampering with Evidence (felony 3-bond $10,000) at the 2800 block of Overview Rd.
The charges stem from Westerman trying to hide 7.9 grams of meth and 1.5 grams of heroin.
Westerman is currently in jail at press time.
