Traffic stop nets cocaine and firearm arrest
On 2-18-22 around midnight, Hood County Sheriff’s Office Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the 1100 block of East Hwy. 377.
During the stop Cody Lane Penrod (25 yoa) was found to be in possession of over 4 grams of cocaine and a 9mm pistol.
Penrod was arrested and charged with Man/Del of a Controlled Substance (felony 2-bond $20,000) and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon (class A misd-bond $2,500).
Penrod is currently in jail at press time.
