Traffic stop leads to multiple charges
On 5-21-21 around 10pm, Hood County Sheriff’s Office Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the 7800 block of West Hwy. 377 in Tolar.
During the stop Kimberly Renee Cummings (30 yoa) was found to be in possession several prescription pills without a prescription, a handgun, and multiple pieces of identifying information without the owner’s permission.
While being booked into the Hood County Jail, Cummings was also found to be in possession of over 32 grams of meth.
Cummings was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (felony 2-bond $30,000), Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility (felony 3-bond $20,000), Fraudulent Possession of Identifying Information (state jail felony- bond $20,000), Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon (class A misd-bond $2,500), Possession of a Dangerous Drug (class A misd-bond $2,500), and an Assault warrant (class A misd-bond $2,500).
Cummings is currently in jail at press time.
