Traffic stop leads to DWI and drug charges
On 3-29-21 around 830pm, Hood County Sheriff’s Office Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the 6000 block of East Hwy. 377.
During the stop Melissa Ann Brown (40 yoa) was found to be in possession of 1.4 grams of meth, several xanax and clonazepam pills and was also intoxicated.
Brown was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (felony 3-bond $10,000), Possessions of a Controlled Substance (state jail felony-Substance (class A misd-bond $2,500), and DWI (class A misd-bond $2,500).
Brown is currently in jail at press time.
