Traffic Stop Lands 2 In Jail On Drug Charges

Traffic stop lands 2 drug suspects in jail
On Wednesday, August 9th around 7pm, Hood County Sheriff’s Office Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the 4100 block of Tin Top Hwy.
During the stop, 54 year old Tamara Vee Patton was found to be in possession of several drugs; under a gram of meth, cocaine, heroin, and oxycodone, under 2oz of marijuana, several prescription pills without a prescription. Officers also discovered a 25 caliber pistol, several credit cards and check books with identifying information, not belonging to her.
Patton made an attempt to hide some of the drugs in her body, which was discovered during the book in process at the jail.
The passenger, 39 year old Corey Mikel Weldon was found to be in possession of under a gram of meth and several credit cards and check books with identifying information, not belonging to him.
Patton was arrested and charged with Felon in Possession of Firearm – felony 3-bond $15,000, Tampering with Evidence – felony 3-bond $15,000, Possession of Identifying Information – state jail felony-bond $5,000, 
Possession of a Controlled Substance x4 – state jail felony-bond $5,000, Possession of a Controlled Substance – class A misdemeanor-bond $1,500, Possession of a Controlled Substance – class B misdemeanor-bond $1,000, Possession of Marijuana – class B misdemeanor-bond $1,000.
Weldon was arrested and charged with
Possession of Identifying Information – state jail felony-bond $5,000 and Possession of a Controlled Substance – state jail felony-bond $5,000.
Both are currently in jail at press time.
