TABC Sting Leads to 5 Arrests in Hood County

On Saturday, August 19, 2017, the Hood County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission conducted an alcohol sting in Hood County.

Underage minors were sent into 52 stores with their real underage Texas Identification Card or Texas Driver’s License and attempted to buy alcohol.

5 clerks fell for the ruse and sold alcohol to the minors. The 5 clerks were arrested and charged with Sale of Alcohol to a Minor (Class A misd-bond $3,000).

Sheriff Roger deeds commented on the situation:
” I’m glad to see the numbers go down compared to the last time, where 11 clerks were arrested. It appears the alcohol stings are working. ”
