Suspect Steals Viper and Runs From Deputies

On 12-5-18 around 3pm, Hood County
Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the
3900 block of Peak Rd. ref. a stolen Viper
sports car.
Deputies located the suspect in the Viper on
Hwy. 144 and gave chase.
After a short car chase, the pursuit ended
after the suspect struck a truck driving
down Morgan St.
The driver decided to block the suspect in
to keep him from leaving the scene near the
1400 block of Morgan St.

Deputies arrested David Lee Thompson Jr.
(27 yoa), who surrender without incident.
Thompson was in possession of approx. 3
grams of meth.
Thompson was charged with Evading Arrest
with a Motor Vehicle (felony 3-bond
$20,000), Possession of a Controlled
Substance (felony 3-bond $20,000), and
Theft (state jail felony-bond $15,000).
Thompson is currently in jail at press time.
