Suspect Flees Deputies During Warrant Service

June 17, 2022

On 6-14-22 around 8am, Hood County Sheriff’s Office Deputies spotted Nicholas Brandon Riggs (37 yoa), who has a felony warrant for Burglary of a Habitation (felony 2) at Fall Creek Hwy. and Acton Hwy.
Deputies attempted a traffic stop at the 5400 block of Acton Hwy. on Riggs.
Riggs refused to stop and drove around a Deputy trying to block an exit at a local restaurant.

During the suspect’s evasive move a Deputy ran on to a large landscaping rock he did not see and ended up “stuck like chuck”.
The other Deputy was able to pursue Riggs to the 8700 block of Massey Rd. where Riggs drove through multiple gates and fences and was able to elude capture.
Riggs’ Ford F350 was eventually located at the end of Three Creek Ct. where it was towed to the Sheriff’s Office.
Riggs is still on the loose and if anyone has information on his whereabouts should call crimestoppers or call 911 to report his location.

UPDATE: Suspect has been captured
