Suspect charged with felony family violence

On 5-19-18 around 3pm, Hood County
Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the
200 block of Brown St in Lipan on a
disturbance.
Deputies were told Daniel Dwayne
Westbrook (35 yoa), driving his vehicle
allegedly tried to run over his 35 year old
girlfriend during an argument they were
having.
The victim was not injured during the
incident.

Westbrook also resisted arrest when
Deputies tried to place him in custody, but
no one was injured.
Westbrook was charged with Aggravated
Assault Family Violence (felony 1-bond
$25,000) and Resisting Arrest (misd A-bond $2,500).
Westbrook is currently in jail at press time.
