Suspect Arrested on Multiple Charges
On 10-31-18 around noon, Hood County
Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Jessie
Frank Diaz (31 yoa) at the 6100 block of
Carter Rd. on the following warrants.
Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle (felony 3-
bond $10,000), Unlawful Restraint-Expose
to Serious Bodily Injury (felony 3-bond
$25,000) 2 counts, Evading Arrest (class A
misd-bond $2,500), and Criminal Mischief
(class A misd-bond $2,500).
The charges stem from a police pursuit on
10-16-18 where Diaz was spotted at the 2300 block of Lipan Hwy. by a Deputy who
tried to stop him on a traffic violation.
Diaz fled from the Deputy in a car chase
that lasted approx. 6 minutes and ended at
the 4200 block of Oak Trail Dr.
During the pursuit Diaz struck 2 parked cars
and 2 carports causing approx. $2,500
worth of damage.
Diaz also had 2 female passengers (36 and
30 yoa) in the vehicle during the pursuit and
placed their lives in danger of injuries, due
to the reckless driving.
When Diaz stopped the chase vehicle he
fled on foot and eluded Deputies from
being apprehended.
Diaz is currently in jail at press time.
