Suspect Arrested on Burglary Charges

On 3-19-19 around 130am, Hood County
Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to an
assault call at the 2800 block of River View
Trail.
Deputies discovered Joseph Clayton Tanner
Peavy (25 yoa) allegedly entered the 35
year old male victim’s home without
permission and assaulted him with a blunt
object on the head and back area.
The victim was transported to LGMC and
was treated and released and is in fair
condition. Peavy, who fled the scene after the assault was located in Stephenville by Stephenville
PD Officers and was arrested and
transported to the Hood County Jail by
Hood County Sheriff’s Office Deputies.
Peavy is charged with Burglary of a
Habitation with the Intent to Commit Other
Felony (felony 1-bond $15,000).
Peavy is currently in jail at press time and
the case is still under investigation by the
Hood County Sheriff’s Office Investigators.
