Remake of Peacemaker Photo

In 1999, approx. 22 years ago, Granbury Police Department DARE Officer Rodney Casey brought together 12 Lawmen for a photo to place on a trading card for his DARE kids.

The trading cards were labeled “Peacemakers” and had Charlie Cloud with the TABC, Tommy Robertson with the Granbury PD, Birt Wilkerson with the Texas Highway Patrol, Roy Sturdivant with the TABC, Rodney Casey with the Granbury PD, Gary Turner with the Brazos River Authority, Danny Tuggle with Texas Parks and Wildlife, Johnny Rose with the Hood County Sheriff’s Office, Allen Draper with the TABC, Chad Jordan with the Hood County Constables Precinct 4, Steve Tuggle with the Texas Highway Patrol, and Russell Ford with the Hood County Sheriff’s Office.

Plans had been made in 2020 to do a remake of the photo, but COVID interfered with those plans.

On 4-13-21 we were able to get everyone together, except Roy Sturdivant (who had passed away in 2002 from cancer) at the original photo site and retake the picture. It was a bittersweet experience with missing Roy and seeing old friends, but overall a good time was had by all.

If you look closely, a picture of Roy was placed in the new group photo that was taken.
