Man Arrested For Agg. Robbery

by | Sep 8, 2020

On 09-07-2020 at approximately 11:45 pm, GPD officers were dispatched to the Bromley apartments at 1525 E. Second St. for a report of a possible hostage situation and shots fired. When officers arrived they were told by three victims the suspect had left the scene on foot after firing a round from an AR-15 rifle into the ground and binding their wrists. The victims reported that the suspect tried to rob them but ultimately did not leave with any of their property. A short time after their arrival, GPD and HCSO officers located a man walking at the outskirts of the apartment complex. The man was identified as 20 year old Stephen Ray Pledger of Keller. As a result of the investigation, including Pledger’s statements, Pledger was arrested for Aggravated Robbery. Pledger reported that a second suspect actually committed the robbery, but that information has not been confirmed.
