Long time fugitive captured in Mexico
On 5-22-21 Hood County Sheriff’s Office was notified that Thomas Edward Demopoulos (55 yoa), who has been a fugitive of justice for over 8 years (2013) on Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child charge (felony 1) out of Hood County.
Demopoulos was located in Oaxaca de Juarez, Mexico by the Office of the Inspector General for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and assisted by the US Marshall’s Office.

Demopoulos is being held in Ft Worth Texas at a Federal Holding Facility and has a federal warrant for Embezzlement.
Eventually he will end up in Hood County and will face a District Judge and Jury on his Sexual Abuse case that is pending and was never resolved due to him fleeing the country.
