JULY 4th PARADE CANCELLED ONCE AGAIN DUE TO RISING STATEWIDE COVID-19 RATES

Due to surging COVID-19 rates in Texas, a joint decision by Hood County, the City of Granbury, and the Granbury Chamber of Commerce has been made to cancel the July 4th parade.

The safety and welfare of the citizens of Hood County, combined with Governor Abbott’s recent proclamation and emergency rules on outdoor gatherings of more than 100 people, prompted the difficult joint decision to cancel the parade portion of the festivities. However, all other celebration events are currently expected to take place at their scheduled time.

Starting at noon Friday, July 3rd, through Saturday, July 4th, local Hood County merchants, artisans and food/beverage vendors will fill pop-up vendor spaces on the Granbury Square. All vendors will be for-profit businesses that are owned and operated in Hood County.

95.5 K-HITS will also present “Limelight” for the Friday evening concert on the square. Starting around 9:45 PM on Saturday, Extreme Pyrotechnics will once again display their show that may be seen in a large portion of the County.
