Investigators and Deputies Go Treasure
Hunting for Stolen Silver

On 1-25-19 around 630pm, Hood County
Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested Bobby
Chad Turner (59 yoa) on a felony Theft
warrant (felony 3-bond $10,000) at the
3900 block of Sandy Beach Dr.
The charge stems from a theft reported at
the 6700 block of Westover Dr. where the
victim reported on 1-23-19 a large amount
of cash and silver bars were taken from
their home without their permission.

The investigation revealed multiple silver bars were dumped in a canal off Lake Granbury. Several divers from the Hood County
Sheriff’s Office and DCBE/Acton Volunteer
Fire Department recovered the stolen silver
bars on 1-25-19.
Approximately 608 ounces of silver valued
at approx. $10,000 dollars was recovered
during the dive mission.
Over $37,000 dollars in cash has been
recovered during the investigation.
The case is still under investigation by the
Hood County Sheriff’s Office.


Turner is out of jail on bond at press time.
