Inmate Found Dead In Hood County Jail Cell

Inmate found dead in cell
On 5-18-17

Thursday morning around 5am Hood County Sheriff’s Office jailers discovered a 38 year old man dead in his cell from a hanging.
Paramedics were called to the scene, but the man remained unresponsive.
The man, who was a Somervell County Sheriff’s Office inmate and has been in our jail since January 2017, was here for 2 counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, 2 counts of Deadly Conduct, 1 count of Retaliation, and Violation of Protective Order with bonds totaling $805,000.
The body was sent to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
The case is under investigation by the Hood County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Rangers.
