Inmate attempts suicide is transported
On 9-12-18 around 1030pm, Hood County
Sheriff’s Office Jail Staff discovered Joseph Scala (74 yoa), who was on a 15 minute check suicide watch had attempted suicide.
Jail Staff found Scala had pulled a medical
device from his body and shoved an object
into the port which caused bleeding.
Scala was transported to JPS hospital and is refusing medical treatment from hospital
staff.
Hood County Sheriff’s Office has an Officer
with Scala, who has been sentenced to TDC prison.
