Home Surveillance To Thank For Homeowner Noticing Intruder While At Work

On Friday, February 3rd around 3:30pm,
Hood County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch
received a call from a homeowner
who was reviewing his home security cameras
from work. The homeowner discovered a male
who did not belong in the home.
Deputies arrived on scene to discover 32 year old
Bernard Matthew Sobczak inside the home
without permission.

Sobczak had loaded up a trash bag of items
that included electronics, firearms, and
food.

Sobczak was arrested and charged with
Burglary of a Habitation (felony 2-bond
$25,000) and Resisting Arrest (class A misd.
bond $3,500).

Sobczak is currently in jail at press time.
