Son steals father’s vehicle and gets arrested

On 5-7-18 around 730pm, Hood County
Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a
stolen vehicle call at the 5400 block of
Fairway Circle.

Deputies discovered Mark Alan Sparks (41
yoa) was accused of taking his father’s
vehicle without permission.

A few hours later, Hood County Sheriff’s
Office Deputies located the stolen vehicle
and Sparks at the 9500 block of Hwy. 377
East in Cresson.

Sparks was also in possession of under a
gram of cocaine.
Sparks was arrested and charged with
Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle (state
jail felony-bond $5,000) and Possession of a
Controlled Substance (state jail felony-bond
$5,000).

Sparks is currently in jail at press time.
