Second suspect in custody over bar fight

On 5-4-18 around 10pm, Hood County
Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Joseph
Patrick Slate (24 yoa), who turned himself in
at the Hood County Sheriff’s Office Jail on
an Aggravated Assault warrant (felony 2-
bond $25,000).

The charge stems from a bar fight that
occurred on 11-30-17 at a local bar at the
200 block of M&M Ranch Rd.

Slate allegedly kicked and punched a 32
year old male victim over a disagreement
they had at the bar.

The victim suffered serious injuries to his
head that included multiple facial fractures
and has had to undergo reconstructive
surgery to correct the issues.

Slate is currently out of jail on bond at press
time.
