Reckless driver call nets several felonies

On 3-11-18 around 630pm, Hood County
Sheriff’s Office Deputies received a call of a
reckless driver on Hwy. 377 near Shady
Grove.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop at Hwy.
377 East and Fall Creek Hwy.
During the stop Georg Boyd Lawson (46
yoa) was found to be intoxicated and in
possession of the following drugs:

  • 1.9 grams of meth
  • 5.6 grams of THC liquid
  • 2.1 grams of hydrocodone/alprazolam pills
  • 8 grams of suboxone pills
  • 1.8 grams of carisoprodol pills
    Lawson was arrested and charged with DWI
    (felony 3-bond $10,000), Possession of a
    Controlled Substance (felony 3-bond
    $10,000), Possession of a Controlled
    Substance (state jail felony-bond $5,000),
    Possession of a Controlled Substance (misd
    A-bond $1,500), Possession of a Controlled
    Substance (misd B-bond $500), Possession
    of Dangerous Drugs (misd A-bond $1,500)
    Lawson is currently in jail at press time.
