Man flees Deputy in car chase
On 8-3-18 around 930am, a Hood County
Sheriff’s Deputy observed Troy Don Yates
Sr. (55 yoa), who had a felony warrant out
for his arrest, driving a vehicle on East
Bluebonnet Dr.
The Deputy attempted to stop Yates, but he
refused to stop and gave chase.
Yates fled to an RV at the 1000 block of
Pawnee where he refused to come out of
the RV he was held up in.
Approx. an hour later Yates decided to
surrender and was arrested without
incident. Yates was charged with Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle with Previous Conviction (felony 3-bond pending) and Possession of a Controlled Substance Capias warrant (state jail felony-bond pending).
Yates is currently in jail at press time.
