by | Oct 7, 2019

On October 6, 2019 at approximately 10 a. m., Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers investigated a two vehicle fatality crash on Farm-to-Market Road 2580 north of Granbury in Hood County.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2019 Toyota Corolla was traveling south on FM 2580 and veered slightly to the right causing the tires to drop off the edge of the roadway.  The driver of the Toyota, 41-year-old Keona Lee Brownlow, of Granbury, overcorrected causing the Toyota to travel back to the left and into the northbound lane of travel.  The Toyota struck a northbound 2001 Chevrolet 2500 pickup that was towing a trailer head-on. Brownlow was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The driver of the Chevrolet, Jimmy Kirk Davenport, 34, of Weatherford, and a passenger in the Toyota, Patricia E. Crawford, 57, of Granbury, both sustained serious injuries and were transported to Fort Worth area hospitals.
