Elderly Woman Found in Lake Granbury

On Wednesday August 30, 2017,

Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a possible drowning at the 4400 block of North Port Ridglea Ct.

Deputies were told by a Hospice Nurse that she found her patient, Molly Jeane Curnutt (88 YOA) non-responsive in the lake behind the patient’s home.

Lifesaving methods were performed with negative results.

Curnutt had dementia and other medical problems, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no signs of foul play and it is believed that Curnutt died of an accidental drowning.

The family of Curnutt has been notified of her passing.
