Downtown Streetscape Plaque Unveiling & Ribbon Cutting on Jan. 28

Square Overhead November 2017

Join the City of Granbury and Granbury Chamber of Commerce on Monday, January 28 at 3:00 p.m. on the Historic Granbury Square for the plaque unveiling and ribbon cutting commemorating the completion of the Granbury Downtown Streetscape Project. The event will take place at the site of the plaque (133 East Pearl Street between the Opera House and Paradise Bistro) and is free and open to the public.

In 2015, the City chose to apply for a Transportation Alternative Program (TAP) Grant seeking to improve deteriorating downtown sidewalks while maintaining the historic charm of the square. The City of Granbury was awarded a grant for the project, which included sidewalk, lighting, street, and landscaping improvements on the square. The Granbury Downtown Streetscape Project construction began February 6, 2017 and was completed in September 2017.
