Disturbance lands man in jail
On 4-22-18 around 1030pm, Hood County
Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the
4500 block of Dogwood Ct. reference a
disturbance.
Deputies discovered Mathew James Land
(27 yoa) allegedly assaulted his 28 year old
girlfriend by pulling her to the floor while
she was holding their 7 month old child.
A second child, 2 years of age was launched off the family couch during the scuffle.
The girlfriend was not seriously injured and
the 2 children suffered no injuries during
the incident.
Land was arrested and charged with Assault Family Violence (class A misd-bond $2,500) and Endangering a Child (state jail felony-bond $5,000).
Land is currently in jail at press time.
