Crash on State Highway 144 and Blubonnet Dr.

Granbury- On Wednesday July 17, 2019 at approximately 8:30 am, the Texas Highway Patrol was notified of a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 144 south of Granbury at Bluebonnet Drive. Upon arrival, the Troopers found that a 2002 Toyota Sequoya driven by Emma Daves, 18 of Granbury was traveling south on SH 144 and turned left into the crossover to turn onto Bluebonnet Dr. A 2014 Chevrolet Lumina driven by Clarence Vaughn, 69 of Granbury was traveling north on SH 144 approaching Bluebonnet Dr. The Toyota, driven by Daves, starred across to Bluebonnet Dr. and failed to yield right of way to the Chevrolet and struck the Chevrolet on the front left side with the front right side of the Toyota. The crash caused the Chevrolet to travel off the east side of the roadway and into a Business striking several sheds on the property. The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to Lake Granbury Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. No other injuries were reported. The driver of the Toyota was cited for Fail to Yield Right of Way, Turning left.
