Burglary Call Leads to Multiple Charges
On 8-20-19 around 1030am, Hood County
Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to an
attempted burglary call at the 5300 block of
Gauntt Ct.
Before Deputies arrived, the suspects fled
the scene without making entry.
Deputies located the suspect vehicle on
Paluxy Hwy. and Daniels Ct.
The suspects gave chase and refused to
stop, until they caused a car accident at the
3300 block of Neri Rd.
No one was seriously injured from the car
accident.
Loren Nathan Walls (22 yoa) and Brandon
Thomas Burnett (28 yoa) were taken into
custody without incident.
Inside the vehicle were 2 pistols and a
sawed-off shotgun.
Walls was charged with Evading Arrest in a
Motor Vehicle (felony 3-bond $10,000),
Felon in Possession of a Firearm (felony 3-
bond $10,000), Prohibited Weapon (felony
3-bond $10,000), and had a warrant out of
Dallas County for Felon in Possession of a
Firearm (felony 3-bond $10,000).
Burnett was charged with Felon in
Possession of a Firearm (felony 3-bond $10,000) and Prohibited Weapon (felony 3-
bond $10,000).
Both are currently in jail at press time.
The case is still under investigation by the
Hood County Sheriff’s Office.
