Body Found in Lake Identified; John Kenneth Woolsey, 41

On Saturday, August 12, 2017,  at 8:12 AM, the body of a man was discovered floating in the lake by a minor, three docks down from the bridge on Hwy 51, on Ada Ct across from Hunter Park.

The body was retrieved from the water at 9:46 AM. Justice of the Peace Danny Tuggle pronounced the man deceased on the scene. The body has been transported to the Fort Worth Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.

The body was identified as John Kenneth Woolsey, of Granbury, age 41. Next of kin have been notified. The cause of death has yet to be determined.

The Granbury Police Department is investigating the death with the assistance of the Brazos River Authority.
