Boyfriend chokes girlfriend during argument
On 8-5-21 around 1am, Hood County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the 1100 block of Pawnee Trail ref. a disturbance.
Deputies discovered James Rodney Johnston (46 yoa) allegedly choked his 29- year-old girlfriend during an argument and tried to hide from Deputies.
The victim was not seriously injured during the incident.
Johnston was arrested and charged with Assault Family Violence/Choking (felony 3-
bond $10,000) and Evading Arrest (class A misd-bond $2,000).
Johnston is currently in jail at press time.
