Beware of Scammers

Beware of Scammers
The Hood County Sheriff’s Office is getting
complaints of scammers calling with the
ruse of getting a relative out of jail or paying
a ransom to get a relative released from a
kidnapping.
Don’t honor their request to go get green
dot cards or any other gift card to pay for
the release of a relative.
Please call the Hood County Sheriff’s Office
to confirm anything you think might be a
scam.
Quote from Sheriff Deeds; (Please be
mindful when taking calls or emails from

people you don’t know; scammers are very
cunning and don’t fall prey to them and
their scam).
