Alcohol Sting Nets Four Clerks

On 10-11-19 Hood County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and TABC Agents conducted alcohol stings with fifty-two convenience stores in Hood County. During the operation, young people between 18 and 20 years of age were sent into the convenience stores attempting to purchase alcohol with their lawful identification showing they were not 21 years of age. Out of fifty-two stores, only four clerks sold alcohol to minors. The four clerks were arrested and charged with Selling Alcohol to a Minor (class A misd-bond $2,500).

Guravtar Singh (35 yoa) from Ft Worth working in the 3100 block of Lipan Hwy.

Jeffrey Trey Shannon (22 yoa) from Granbury working in the 5200 block of Hwy. 377.

Allison Rae Cox (42 yoa) from Granbury working in the 3600 block of Contrary Creek.

Robert Wayne Manley (54 yoa) from Granbury working in the 1900 block of Hwy. 377.

All four have bonded out of jail at press time.

Quote from Sheriff Roger Deeds:

“I am glad to see the numbers continue to be low, but would like to see it at zero on clerks selling to minors.”
