DWI suspect tries to evade Deputies
On 10-20-21 around midnight, Hood County Sheriff’s Office Deputies tried to conduct a traffic stop at the 3200 block of Lipan Hwy.
The driver later identified as Katrina Melissa Ortiz (42 yoa) failed to pull over.
Ortiz eventually was stopped on Sunrise Bay Ct.
Ortiz was found to be intoxicated and in possession of several prescription pills without a prescription.
Ortiz was arrested and charged with Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle (felony 3-bond $15,000), Possession of Dangerous Drugs (class B misd-bond $3,000) and Driving While Intoxicated (class B misd- bond $1,500).
Ortiz is currently in jail at press time.
