Drug suspect nets $30,000 in bonds
On 8-20-20 around 930pm, Hood County
Sheriff’s Office Deputies at the 3700 block
of Contrary Creek Rd. attempted to stop a
vehicle driven by Arthur Matthew Thurman
(35 yoa), who refused to pull over.
Thurman led Deputies on a car chase all the
way to the 5900 block of Hunterwood Dr.
where Deputies used spikes to stop the
vehicle.
Thurman then fled on foot and after a short
foot chase he was taken into custody.
Thurman was found to be in possession of
under a gram of meth and alprazolam pills.

Thurman was charged with Tampering with
Evidence (felony 3-bond $10,000), Evading
Arrest in a Motor Vehicle (felony 3-bond
$10,000), Possession of a Controlled
Substance (state jail felony -bond $5,000),
Evading Arrest (misd A-bond $2,500),
Possession of a Controlled Substance (misd
A-bond $2,500), and a Parole Warrant.
