Suspect in Custody for Evading Arrest

Suspect in custody that ran from Deputies
On 5-26-20 around 11pm, Hood County
Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the
1000 block of Pease River Dr. ref. a violation
of a protective order.
Andrew Murray Sampson III (34 yoa)
allegedly violated a protective order.
When Deputies arrived, Sampson led
Deputies on a 14-mile vehicle pursuit that
ended at the 4100 block of County Road
313 in Glen Rose.
Sampson fled on foot into a wooded area
and evaded Deputies.

On 5-27-20 around 3pm, Deputies located
Sampson at the 600 block of North Crockett
St. in Granbury and was taken into custody.
Sampson is charged with Evading Arrest in a
Motor Vehicle (felony 3-bond $10,000) and
Violation of Protective Order (class A misd-
bond $2,500).
Sampson is currently in jail at press time.
