MINERAL WELLS – On September 16, 2019 at approximately 7:50 p. m., Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers were notified of a one vehicle traffic crash on US Highway 377 approximately two miles from Bluff Dale in Hood County.
Preliminary investigation indicates that on September 12, 2019 at approximately 11:00 p. m., a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle, driven by 39-year-old Casey L. Cox, of Tolar, was traveling eastbound on US 377. For an as yet undetermined reason, the Suzuki failed to negotiate a curve in the road and traveled off the right side of the roadway. The motorcycle continued through the barrow ditch before crashing into a heavily wooded area. The crash was not located until September 16th. Cox was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Roger Howell.
