Traffic Stop Nets Tampering Charge

On 9-14-19 around 4pm, Hood County
Sheriff’s Office Deputies conducted a traffic
stop at Terri Lee Lane and Robinhood Dr.
The driver, Jay Dee Hopper (56 yoa) is
accused of tossing a meth pipe out the
vehicle window before the traffic stop.
Hopper was in possession of under a gram
of meth and under 2oz of marijuana.
Hopper was arrested and charged with
Tampering with Evidence (felony 3-bond
$10,000), Possession of a Controlled
Substance (state jail felony-bond $5,000), and Possession of Marijuana (class B misd-
bond $1,500).
Hopper is currently out of jail on bond at
press time.
