Landlord Assaulted By Tenant
On 7-17-19 around 1130am, Hood County
Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the
800 block of Cleveland Rd. ref. an assault.
Deputies were told Ross Allen Downs (39
yoa) allegedly pushed his 74-year-old male
landlord down during an argument.
The victim suffered head trauma from the
fall.
The victim was transported by ambulance
to LGMC and later transported to Harris
Hospital in downtown Ft. Worth.
Later in the day, the victim was released
from Harris Hospital.
Downs was arrested and charged with
Injury to the Elderly (state jail felony-bond
$5,000).
Downs is currently in jail at press time.
