Child Endangerment Charge Filed
On 6-23-19 around 6pm, Hood County
Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the
300 block of Shorthorn Ct. ref. a
disturbance.
Deputies discovered Heather Ann Metts-
Cook (26 yoa) allegedly assaulted her 26-
year-old brother in-law during an argument.
Metts-Cook is accused of holding her 4-
year-old child during the assault.
No one was seriously injured during the
incident.
Metts-Cook was arrested and charged with
Assault Family Violence (class A misd-bond
$2,500) and Endangering a Child (state jail
felony-bond $5,000).
Metts-Cook is currently out of jail at press
time.
