Disturbance Call Leads To Evading Charge

On 6-22-19 around 830am Hood County
Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a
disturbance at the 200 block of Rock Church
Hwy.
Deputies discovered Makayla Taylor
Peleberg (22 yoa) allegedly assaulted her
53-year-old step-father during an argument
and fled the scene before Deputies arrived.
The victim was not seriously injured during
the incident.
Deputies located Peleberg in Tolar and tried
to conduct a traffic stop, but Peleberg
refused to stop.

Deputies pursued Peleberg and eventually
stopped her at Hwy. 377 West and Rock
Church Hwy.
Peleberg was found to be in possession of
under a gram of meth.
Peleberg was arrested and charged with
Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle (felony 3-
bond $10,000), Possession of a Controlled
Substance (state jail felony-bond $5,000),
and Assault Family Violence (class A misd-
bond $2,.500).
Peleberg is currently in jail at press time.
