Suspect Arrested On Burglary In Progress

On 6-17-19 around 1am, Hood County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a burglary in progress in the 5100 block of Old Granbury Rd. Deputies located Salvador Enrique Castillo Jr. (28 yoa) inside the residence without the owner’s permission. Castillo is accused of breaking a window to gain entry into the home while the homeowner was asleep and he attempted to steal property.

Deputies discovered Castillo allegedly gained entry into a car at a local bar in the 200 block of M&M Ranch Rd. and removed several pieces of identifying information. Castillo is also accused of being intoxicated during the incident.

Castillo was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Habitation (felony 2-bond $30,000), Possession of Identifying Information (state jail felony-$5,000), Burglary of a Motor Vehicle (class A misd- bond $2,500), and Public Intoxication (class C misd-$581 fine). Castillo is currently in jail at press time.
