Fatality Accident on Hwy 144

Granbury- According to preliminary reports, the Texas Highway Patrol was notified of a two vehicle crash on State Highway 144 at Cowboy Ct. south of Granbury on Saturday June 01, 2019 at approximately 12:18 pm.
Upon arrival Troopers found that a 2005 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Michael Bryant Keigley, 28, of Meridiam was traveling south of SH 144 approaching Cowboy Ct .  A 2009 Cadillac driven by Shirley F. Sloan, 83 of North Richland Hills, was traveling north on SH 144 also approaching Cowboy Ct.

Keigley failed to yield right of way and attempted to turn left onto Cowboy Ct in front of Sloan’s vehicle.
The Cadillac struck the front of the Blazer with the front of the Cadillac.
Sloan and her husband, 91 year old Gerald Sloan were taken by air ambulance  to John Peter Smith Hospital In Ft Worth in critical condition. Shirley Sloan later died at JPS Hospital.
Next of kin have been notified.
Michael Keigley was taken by air ambulance to Harris Hospital Ft Worth in serious condition.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
