Suspect With Felony Warrant Has Car Chase

On 12-10-18 around 1030 am, A Hood
County Sheriff’s Office Deputy assigned to
the US Marshall’s Office Task Force in
Parker County was looking for Richard Scott
Hansen (61 yoa), who has a felony capias
warrant for Man/Del of a Controlled
Substance (felony 1).
Hansen was spotted at the 600 block of
Reed Rd and a traffic stop was initiated.
Hansen refused to stop and gave chase.
Hansen drove to Meander Rd. to Little Rd.
to Boyd Rd. to Temple Hall Hwy. to Hwy 51, 

where he hit a mailbox and lost control of
his vehicle at the 5000 block of Hwy. 51.
Hansen was not injured, but was arrested
and charged with Evading Arrest with a
Motor Vehicle (felony 3).
Hansen is currently in jail at press time and
will see a Judge in the morning to have a
bond set.
