WEATHERFORD – At approximately 9:41 p. m. on December 1, Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers were notified of a two vehicle traffic crash on Farm-to-Market Road 51 near Wilson Lane in Parker County.
Preliminary investigation indicates a 2015 Chevrolet passenger car was traveling south on FM 51 when, for an as yet undetermined reason, the vehicle crossed the center stripe and traveled into the northbound lane of traffic. The passenger car struck a 2002 Chevrolet bus, owned by the Bridgeport I.S.D., head-on that was traveling northbound.
The bus was being driven by 29-year-old June Allison Taylor. There were five female students on the bus, four age fourteen and one fifteen year old. The occupants of the bus and the adult male driver of the passenger car were all transported by ground ambulance to Fort Worth area hospitals. The occupants of the bus were described as having minor injuries. The driver of the passenger car had undisclosed injuries. The adult female passenger of the passenger car was flown by air ambulance to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with critical injuries.
